Stand Up Against Bullying Day (Pink Shirt Day) September 10th

This year we are returning to school after an extended period of disconnection because of the ongoing pandemic.  Stand Up Against Bullying Day, Thursday, September 10th, 2020 is a day to help us remember that every day we work together to build a caring and compassionate community in our schools to create a place for our children and youth to thrive both socially and academically. Creating a school filled with kindness is a very impactfulway to build community.  September 10th, 2020 is the provincial day of recognition of Stand Up Against Bullying. This day was born out of the efforts of two students at high school who recognized a student who was bullied because of the color of his shirt. They stood together and their actions ultimately led to this day becoming a day of acknowledging the importance of standing up against bullying behaviour.
